Final Table Action
Norm Glueckert was the first to fall after shoving with king-five suited and failing to get there against Nick Petrees pocket jacks, and Clyde Lorance followed him out the door in ninth losing ace-queen to Matt Blackwells pocket queens.
Blackwell then hit the rail himself getting it in with pocket nines and losing a flip to Petree, who flopped an ace holding ace-queen. That proved to be a popular hand as Lance Hendricks used it to send William McCracken, who held king-nine in his final hand, out the door in seventh place for $5,952.
Papa Karn, the father of RGPS founder Tana Karn, took his leave after getting his short stack in with nines against Shane Fullers Big Slick, and Li Wu busted when his ten-eight suited fell to Fullers nine-seven.
It was at that point Kinder got his first final table knockout when Hendricks jammed with king-nine only to run it smack dab into the eventual champs ace-king. Kinder then used Big Slick to eliminated Petree, who had ace-eight, in third place for $17,577 before setting up a final two match against Fuller, which would last just six hands.
The former held a 2:1 chip lead, and it came to a head when Fuller three-bet jammed holding ace-queen and Kinder opted to call with king-four suited. One club on the flop and two more on the turn and river gave Kinder a flush, and Fuller was eliminated in second place for $26,412.
The next RGPS stop will take place March 5-10 at Horseshoe Tunica, and once again the PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be on hand to capture all the action.
