888poker Unveil TWO New StreamTeam Members After Month-Long Competition
Many poker players dream of becoming site ambassadors, and now for two lucky players those dreams have become reality.
888poker's month-long Stream On competition has come to a close, and while there was only one StreamTeam member slated to be chosen, a bumper field of 63 candidates meant that two players received the top prize of a year-long streaming contract from the site.
Those players were the UK's Dave "Wursthandz" Brady and Canada's Darius "KomodoDragonJesus" Wajda who found out the news on yesterday evening's 888poker live stream.
Winner's Reaction
Brady, a trainee firefighter, is a passionate poker player and has been playing since 2008. His comeback to streaming coincided with the 888poker Stream On competition, even winning a Mystery Bounty event in the recent 888poker Micro Rollers Championchips, and he now finds himself a member of the 888poker Stream Team.
"It really is an honour to be joining such a brilliant lineup of talented streamers," said Brady. "I'm beyond happy to have been chosen as one of the winners of the competition. I'd like to thank the community who were amazing in their support from start to finish of the competition, and I hope I can do justice to them!
Meanwhile, Wajda comes from Manitoba, Canada, and moved into poker having previously worked as an analyst in the aerospace engineering industry.
"I can't wait to see what comes next"
Wajda, also known as "KomodoDragonJesus" balances cash games and tournaments, and has streamed casually since 2014.
"When I joined Stream On, I wasn't sure what to expect," said Wajda. "As the competition progressed, I got to know the team and their communities.
It quickly turned into one of the most fun months of poker I've ever had, and I can't wait to see what comes next."
