Welcome to Day 2 of the 2022 888poker LIVE Barcelona 1,100 Main Event
At 4pm local time, the 2022 888poker LIVE Barcelona 1,100 Main Event will recommence as all survivors of the four starting stacks return to their seats at Casino Barcelona. While the Formula One race is underway and the sun is shining, it will be all about the poker action in the marquee event of the stop in the Catalan hotbed.
So far, 311 entries have been recorded and 131 players will return to the poker action with a distinct chip leader at the top of the leaderboard. Gabriel Podovei crushed the late stages of Day 1b and will return with 327,500 in chips, good enough for 273 big blinds in the first level at blinds of 600-1,200 and a big blind ante of 1,200.
Second in chips is Alex Baena with 213,300 while Alejandro De Lucio Sanchez follows in third place with 199,100. The trio atop all ended up as the chip leaders on their respective starting days but it will be a long way to turn the decent start into something meaningful.

For his efforts in the 550 Main Event, the Spaniard padded his bankroll with a payday of 70,000. Gabriele Rossi then followed in the footsteps of fellow countryman Shehadeh in 2019 to claim 110,000 after topping a field of 551 entries.
