The action continues here at Casino Barcelona with the second of four starting flights in the 888poker LIVE Barcelona €888 Main Event.
Day 1a of the Main Event attracted 86 entrants to contribute just under €70,000 towards the prize pool. That number will continue to grow substantially with unlimited reentries available throughout the late registration period which ends just before the start of Day 2. Spain's Viktor Moskalenko leads the 27 survivors who advanced from Day 1a after bagging 400,000 chips, a stack worth 133 big blinds. Moskalenko is most closely followed by fellow countryman Alejandro Peinado Guillen (330,000) and Norway's Kristian Larsson (314,500).

Day 1b follows the same structure as Day 1a. Players will start with 50,000 chips and the blinds at 100/300 with a 300 big blind ante. Play will last for ten 45-minute levels after which the remaining players will bag their chips and advance to Day 2 which takes place on May 19. Before that, there are two more starting flights with Day 1c scheduled to take place on May 18 and a turbo Day 1d taking place earlier in the day on May 19.

Ryan Adams opened to 700 from the cutoff and received calls from James Hawkins on the button and Guillem Morgo in the big blind.
The flop came 9?2?3?. Morgo checked, Adams bet 600 and Hawkins raised to 1,600. Morgo folded while Adams made the call.
Both players checked the Q? turn leading to the 3? river. Adams bet 500, Hawkins raised to 4,300 and Adams made the call.
Hawkins could only show 6?5? for a bluff after missing his flush and straight draws. Adams tabled Q?J? for top pair and took down a nice early pot.
