Cates Eliminated

Level 7
: 600/1,200, 200 ante

Action folded to Sean Giesbrecht on the button and he raised to 2,400. Daniel Cates then three-bet all in for what looked to be 23,000 from the big blind, and Giesbrecht snap-called.

Cates bemoaned his luck, but he perked up when the flop gave him a bunch of outs. The
turn was not what he was looking for, as it took away some of his two pair possibilities, and then the
river finished off the board. Cates jokingly acted like it was a good card for him, but in fact the two pair he had made was inferior to Giesbrecht's aces and nines.
The table got a good laugh from the situation, and Cates exited the tournament floor. It appears he will be reentering soon.
