At the end of the first level, two players were eliminated at almost the same time with Haukur B?dvarsson among those to fall after a rough opening level.
The other casualty was Sami Tuomaala, who jammed the J?4?4?7? turn for around 22,000 and was snapped off by Jhonro Magno from Iceland. Tuomaala showed the K?K? but had a mere two outs as Magno's J?4? had flopped a full house. The river was the blank 3? to knock out Tuomaala.
