Yurasov Continues to Climb
Dmitry Yurasov has a reputation as being an active player, which means when he's playing well and catching cards he's a formidable foe.
In a recent hand, Yurasov opened for 700 from the hijack and received calls from Steve O'Dwyer and Ludovic Lacay on the button and small blind respectively. When the flop came down , Lacay checked, Yurasov bet 1,200, and O'Dwyer called.
After Lacay folded, the turned and Yurasov bet 2,800. O'Dwyer called once again to see the appear on the river. Yurasov slowed down with a check, and O'Dwyer wasted little time in tossing out a blue T5,000 chip.
Yurasov thought for a bit before making the call with the for ace high, and it proved a wise choice as O'Dwyer had missed his straight draw with the .
As you can see, Lacay is on a short stack. We're not sure how it happened, but since Yurasov has two pink T25,000 chips and Lacay has none, we're guessing the two must have clashed in an earlier pot.
