$25,000 Super High Roller Warm-Up Gets Underway at 12:30 p.m.
The 2024 PokerStars European Poker Tour Cyprus rolls on today with the $25,000 Super High Roller Warm-Up, the second priciest event on the schedule. Only tomorrows $50,000 Super High Roller tops it. Cards hit the felt at 12:30 p.m. local time at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa.
Yesterday marked the first high roller event in EPT Cyprus, with the $20,000 Single-Day tournament running into the early hours of the morning. The main difference between that event and todays, aside from the higher buy-in, is that the Super High Roller Warm-Up gives players a starting stack of 250,000 chips compared to 100,000 yesterday.
Last night, It was Ognyan Dimov who outlasted a tough field to claim the trophy and $253,876. Dimov did an ICM deal heads-up with Kayhan Mokri, but won a blind all-in flip to secure their second EPT title. A similar turnout is expected for todays tournament, with everyone aiming to be the last player standing by the end.
