Larsen Dodges Everything to Double

Birger Larsen opened to 60,000 from the cutoff, before being faced with a three-bet to 250,000 from Adrian Cazacu in the small blind.
Larsen responded with a four-bet jam to 970,000, and Cazacu, who had about 1,800,000 behind, went into the tank. After about 90 seconds he made the call.
Cazacu flipped over K?Q?, and as he did so Larsen got out of his chair, rubbed his cards for luck, and flipped pocket nines.
Birger Larsen: 9?9?
Adrian Cazacu: K?Q?
Larsen was ahead in a flip but the 10?6?4? flop spelt danger, Cazacu picking up a flush draw.
The J? turn was about the best card Cazacu could ask for without hitting anything, giving him an up and down straight draw as well.
Larsen now had to dodge a significant amount of outs, and when the brick 10? river hit, he celebrated wildly, pumping his fist, shouting "Yes" and heading over to the rail to hug a friend.
