Benadiba Eliminated
Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu raised to 18,000 from early position, and Steve O'Dwyer called from the cutoff seat with a dead button in play. Stephane Benadiba called from the small blind, and the big blind folded.
The dealer slid out the flop, and Benadiba moved all in for his last 26,000. Negreanu made the call, but O'Dwyer wasn't about to let Negreanu continue for cheap and raised to 75,000. Negreanu gave it up.
O'Dwyer showed the for middle set. Benadiba held the for bottom pair.
The turn was the , leaving Benadiba needing the case deuce on the river for a miracle suckout. The wasn't what he was looking for, though, and Benadiba headed out the door.
O'Dwyer is currently in second place on the leader board, behind only Team Pro Johnny Lodden. On the European Poker Tour, O'Dwyer has had a bit of success, including a second-place finish at EPT London for 465,000 in 2011 before following that up with another final table in the London Main Event this year. He has one other EPT final table from Copenhagen in 2012, and basically what we're trying to say is that whenever O'Dwyer cashes in an EPT event, he seems to find his way to the final table.
With well over a million in chips right now, it looks as though O'Dwyer has set himself up perfectly to add a fourth.
