The Mega Qualifier for Free Poker Network's World Series or Bust National Championship Kicks Off Soon
Welcome to the $160 Mega Qualifier for Free Poker Network’s World Series or Bust National Championship at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino. Cards go in the air at 10 a.m. PST for the first of two qualifiers on Saturday.
The Free Poker Network is a recreational league that holds events at bars in 17 different states throughout the country. Players earn points throughout the year and win seats to major poker events.
The goal is to lock up a spot in Sunday’s live-streamed World Series or Bust Championship Event for a chance at over $50,000 in prizes, including two seats to the 2022 World Series of Poker Main Event. The flagship event of the weekend will also have mystery bounties, VIP parties, and free $100 heads-up challenges. There are no direct buy-ins for the final event and the only way to enter the Championship is by winning your seat through a Free Poker Network league or by surviving one of the qualifiers this weekend.
The buy-in for today’s Mega Qualifier is $160 and players will start with 20,000 in chips. Cards go in the air at 10 a.m. local time and the tournament will play 25-minute levels, with registration open until the end of Level 6. The top 25% finishers in the field will punch their ticket to Sunday's finale, along with 20,000 in bonus chips and $160 in cash.
A second Championship Qualifier kicks off later in the afternoon at 4 p.m in the Grand Ballroom. The $160 Tag Team Championship will send 10% of the field to Sunday’s finale with 10,000 in bonus chips and $160 in cash. PokerNews will be on hand to cover both events.
Be sure to keep it with the PokerNews team all weekend for live coverage of the Free Poker Network World Series or Bust National Championship at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Downtown Las Vegas.
