Almost a Quintuple up for Matú? Schnierer
Former poker dealer Matú? Schnierer was sweating hard. He looked at one of his cards he later said was an ace and jammed in for less than four big blinds or 230,000. He thought his day was done after he got one caller, but then he got two more to bring four hands into the hand.
The hand took a few minutes to play out. During this time, partypoker Tournament Director Christian Scalzi reminded Schnierer on two occasions not to leave the table because the dealer could accidentally muck his cards. He warned Schnierer after the second time he wouldn't be getting a third reminder. Schnierer calmed his nerves and sat back in his seat.
His three opponents subsequently checked down all three streets on a board before all four players turned over their cards. Two of Schnierer's opponents held ace-ten while the third one held king-queen. Schnierer turned over for top pair which was good enough to collect a pot just north of 1 million chips.
