Francolini Folds
There have been more new arrival to bring the total number of PKC Day 1a Main Event entries up to 80, which caps out the tournament tables at this time. That means alternates are now in play and several players are now waiting in the wings for a seat to open up.
One of the new arrivals is Italy's Mauro Francolini, who is a familiar face at poker tables here in Macau. We caught the Italian embroiled in a pot against a tablemate, but the action disappointingly fizzled out.
There was close to 1,500 in the pot, with the flop spread with Francolini (button) firing out a bet of 600 when his opponent, sitting in the hijack, checked the action over before sliding out the call.
The turn saw no betting, nor did the river, which brought four to a straight. Francolini could only muck when his opponent rolled over for the rivered straight, dropping down to around 27,000 while his opponent raked in the pot.
