Who Will Reach the Money on Day 2 of the 2018 Poker King Cup Main Event?
Welcome back to Day 2 of the 2018 Poker King Cup Macau HK$16,500 Main Event here at the stunning Venetian Macau Resort Hotel. In total, 518 players paid up the buy-in to get a starting stack and 247 of them found a bag at the end of their flights. Day 1a chip leader, China’s Zhong Cai Peng is ahead of all of them with 198,200 in chips.
Trailing in second place in the chip counts is Winson Yau from Hong Kong who managed to tag 185,000 in the end. Yau is closely followed by Zhang Cao, the Day 1b chip leader with 181,700. Rounding out the top five are Gary Lam (168,500) and Yue Wang (165,700).
Other notable players to keep an eye on include Day 1c chip leader Ke Fei Na, Xiao Tian Yang, Chuanshu Chen, Pakinai Lisawad, Ling Kay Yip, Daero Lee, Thi Nguyen, Ye Wang, Ben Lai, Preston Lee, Hon Cheong Lee, Alan Lau, Phachara Wongwichit, Samantha Cohen, Phanlert Sukonthachartnant, and Sparrow Cheung.
Day 2 starts at 1 PM local time for the players that played Day 1a or 1b. They will play the first level which will last 60 minutes and features a small blind of 800, big blind of 1,600, and a running ante of 200. The remaining players will be sent for a break of an hour. At 2 PM, the surviving players of Day 1c will take their seats to play their first level of Day 2. And at 3 PM, both groups of Day 2 players will come together to continue to try and make the cut for Day 3 which will take place on Monday, September 24.
According to the schedule, the players will play at least 7 levels today and must be in the money. If not, they will continue until they are. The prize pool details for the Main Event will be announced soon after Day 2 has restarted and will be posted as soon as they have been confirmed by the organization.
