Ripnick Can't Get Action in Four-Bet Pot

Level 10
: Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Action was opened under the gun to 3,500. It then folded to a player in middle position who three-bet to 10,000. It then folded to John Ripnick in the cutoff who put in the cold four-bet to 24,000. The players folded back to the three-bettor and she put in the chips for a call.
The 8?Q?3? flop hit the felt and action surprisingly checked through to an A? turn. It got checked to Ripnick again who quickly checked back.
The river landed a 4? and once more it was checked to Ripnick. This time he went for a bet to the tune of 24,000. His opponent thought over her options but eventually folded.
We may never know if Ripnick missed out on value or got a bluff through.
