453 Players Advance to Day 2 in the Winamax SISMIX Marrakech Main Event
The 5,500 MAD Main Event of the Winamax SISMIX poker festival at the Casino de Marrakech in the Es Saadi Resort, here in Morocco, continues today with Day 2, which is set to kick off today at 12 p.m. local time.
Over a total of four starting flights in the last two days, an impressive 2,736 entries were recorded in this six-max event, breaking the world record for the largest six-max event ever held. Of those, 453 of those players will be returning to the felt today to battle it out as all starting flights merge for the first time.
Coming into Day 2 with the overall chip lead is Don Cho with a total of 1,139,000; Don amassed his monster stack by the conclusion of Day 1c yesterday, having burst the bubble in the process.
Occupying the two other podium positions heading into play today are Valentin Pinault (1,065,000) and Anas Tadini (1,042,000) who were the Day 1a and Day 1b chip leaders respectively.

Winamax Team Pro have seemingly made their presence known as a total of five Team Pro members, including Pierre Calamusa (170,000), Gus Hansen (318,000), Mustapha Kanit (387,000) and Leo Margets (675,000), will be returning to Casino de Marrakech to battle it out once more. Leading the way is Romain Lewis who managed to accumulate a top-ten stack of 859,000.
In addition, all attendees are welcome to the Pool Party from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. where producer Klingande will be headlining. As the sun starts to set, players can enjoy either Aperitif games by the pool between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. or head to the Theatro night club at the slightly earlier than usual time of 8 p.m. to watch the Champions League Final.
Those fortunate enough to have progressed to Day 2 will benefit from the slightly longer clock of 35 minutes. Play recommence on Level 20 where the blinds will be 4,000/8,000 with a 8,000 big blind ante.
