Wright Gets Flushed
With the board reading , Larry Wright bet 1,200 and received a call from the player to his immediate left. One player shot his hand into the muck and two more decided to tag along.
With four players still holding live hands, the dealer produced the on the river. Wright and the player on his left checked, prompting a player at the opposite end of the table to bet 2,750. The button folded and Wright counted out a call and slid it into the middle. The last remaining player folded and the dealer asked the players to expose their hands.
Wright's opponent showed for a flush and Wright shot up out of his chair.
"Wooooooow!" bellowed Wright. "That is a COOLER!"
Wright slapped on the table for a turned straight. The dealer collected his cards and threw them face down in the muck and awarded Wright's opponent the pot. With this loss, Wright is now sporting a stack of about 14,000.
