Bill Burford and Adam Hendrix Bag Large on Day 1a of the $1,700 Choctaw Durant Main Event
The opening flight of the World Series of Poker Circuit Choctaw Durant $1,700 Main Event has completed! A total of 389 players entered the first flight for this $1,000,000 Guaranteed prizepool, with only 63 players advancing to Day 2 on Sunday, November 10th at 12:00 PM.
At the end of the night, the top three stacks were all very close with Bill Burford bagging the biggest stack, finishing the night with 474,500. Closely followed by Adam Hendrix who bagged a total of 452,000. Right on his tail was Jainmin Xu bagging a total of 425,500.
The 63 surviving players from Day 1a will come back Sunday, and join the survivors of Saturday's Day 1b flight in a combined field for Day 2.
Other notable players putting chips in a bag at the end of Day 1a include Kevin Eyster (395,000), Jake Bazely (318,500), and Matt Newcombe (317,000).
Some of the notables playing on Day 1a, but not making it through, included T.J Cloutier, Melisa Singh, Brett Apter, Nick Pupillo and Carlos Guerrero.
All of those names are eligible to fire another bullet and enter the Day 1b flight, as the WSOPC Choctaw Durant Main Event allows unlimited re-entry. Flight B begins at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 9th and Day 2 will be on Sunday, November 10th at 12:00 PM.
