On a board reading and a pot nearing 10,000 Alexandre Reard moved a large stack of 1,000 chips to put his opponent at risk for his tournament. After a long tank he eventually folded.
A few hands later the button player raised to 1,000 and Reard defended his big blind with . Both players checked on the
rainbow flop.
The fell on the turn. Reard three-bet to 4,000 after his initial bet of 500 was raised to 1,600. His opponent made the call.
On the river Reard check-called a shove worth 15,000 to see
in his opponent's hand.
That last hand took him to the brink of a 50,000 stack.
