Kellsall Gets It Done With a Turn Check-Raise

Level 2
: 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em
Ian Johns opened with a raise from under the gun to 1,200 and Eli Elezra called from the hijack seat. Andrew Kelsall took a look at his cards then called from the small blind.
The flop was and action checked around to Elezra who put out a bet of 2,300. Both Kelsall and Johns called.
On the turn, Action checked to Elezra again. Elezra put out a bet of 5,000. Kelsall thought for a moment, then check-raised to 14,500. Johns folded quickly and Elezra followed suit by letting his hand go as well.
Johns made a comment about having the right read but taking the wrong action to which Kelsall responded, "That's the key, isn't it? You have to have the read and the heart!"
