On Tuesday night, the 2022 World Series of Poker Online Event #4: $1,000 PLO 6-Max attracted 129 players who rebought 144 times. The 273-entry field generated a $245,700 prize pool, and after just under 10 hours of play, it was Soheb "TommyConway6" Porbandarwala coming out on top to win a $57,125 first-place prize and his first career gold bracelet.
Prior to this victory, Porbandarwala had $1,067,084 in live earnings according to The Hendon Mob with his biggest score being in a WPT Online Poker Open Main Event in 2020, when he took down first place for $239,820.
Many notable players joined the field throughout the day but those who fell short of making a deep run included Justin "Jsaliba2" Saliba, Kathy "Luckygal" Liebert, and four-time bracelet winner Jeff "NedrudRelyt" Madsen. A few were lucky enough to make the money but could not close it out with a win included Eric "powwow" Ethans (20th - $3,488), Alex "RIP_Neiko" Rocha (13th - $3,660), and most of today's chip leader Martin "Bathroomline" Zamani (9th - $4,152).

The six-handed official final table got off to an action-packed start with the first elimination happening within minutes. Matthew "HuniDeGrande" Stone found himself all in and ahead with kings against queens of Andre "RiderStrong" Nyffeler but when the board ran out with runner-runner cards to make a straight for Nyffeler, it was the end of the road for Stone as he exited in sixth place.
Soon after, Michael "BrockLesnar" Holtz was all in with a short-stack and he was called by both Porbandarwala and Tristan "Truqs" Wade. Play was checked down and the nines of Porbandarwala took the pot to send Holtz out in fifth place.
Stanley "stanman420" Lee fell in fourth place when his two-pair was outdrawn by the flush of Porbandarwala. Wade was also eliminated in third place by Porbandarwala when he got jacks all in against the flopped straight and could not improve.
Heads-up play started off with Porbandarwala having a 4-1 chip lead on Nyffeler and it looked like it could be over fast. However, with two double ups Nyffeler found himself almost even with Porbandarwala and all in well ahead with top set of kings against the middle set of queens. The board ran out with a straight for Porbandarwala and it was the runner-up finish for Nyffeler, scoring Porbandarwala the victory and gold bracelet.
