Katz Wins Unusual Three-Way Pot

Level 12

Pot-Limit Omaha
On the tail end of a three-way pot to the Q?3?2?5?Q? river, Dan Cates bet 75,000 out of the big blind. He was called by Daniel Weinman from under the gun and Cary Katz tanked for a while before he also called.
In what seemed rather bizarre fashion, Cates and Weinman were ready to toss their cards into the muck and then did so momentarily when Katz revealed his A?K?Q?9? for trips queens.
"You are the last to call and they already muck their cards," Daniel Alaei in the one seat grinned and joked towards Katz.
