TeamLucky Makes a Royal Flush
Matt Glantz flagged down PokerNews to tell the story of how he amassed such a large stack here on Day 2.
Glantz explained that with blinds at 2,000/4,000, the player in the hijack raised to 10,000, he flatted in the cutoff with A?10?, and the small blind came along for the ride as well.
It checked around to Glantz on the Q?J?8? flop, who bet 15,000.
"That's a good flop for my hand", Glantz excitingly mentioned, as he continued to recap the action.
The small blind then raised to 35,000 and the hijack got out of the way. Glantz said he opted for a raise to 65,000 with his flopped flush, and the small blind then decided to move all in for 240,000.
"Being the brave guy that I am," Glantz said he made the call.
The small blind was technically still alive, until the turn brought the K?, giving Glantz the elusive royal flush. The meaningless 5? rolled off on the river, and Glantz scooped the pot, earning a healthy stack for TeamLucky.
