First-Ever $10,000 Eight Game Mixed Championship Steals the Spotlight at 2024 WSOP

Today sees the start Event #88: $10,000 Eight Game Mixed Championship (6-Handed) here at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, a brand new event at the 2024 WSOP.
This event requires a mastery of No-Limit Hold’em, Seven Card Stud, Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better, Razz, Pot-Limit Omaha, Limit Hold’em, Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better, and 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw.
This three-day event gets underway at 2 p.m. local time with late registration open for ten levels. This event is a freezeout, and reentries are prohibited. There will be 15-minute breaks every two hours of play.
The starting stack is 60,000 chips, with the plan for Day 1 to play nine levels. Levels 1-3 feature 40-minute levels, which then increase to 60 minutes from Levels 4-13. From Level 14, all levels will be 90 minutes.
For the surviving players, Day 2 resumes at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, where another eight levels play out. A winner will then be crowned the following day.
