WSOP Day 44: Dentale Leads Little One for One Drop; Nemeth Leads $3K NLHE

The action is hot and heavy on Day 44 of the 2019 World Series of Poker with nine events in motion including two new ones in the $1,500 Double Stack and the $100,000 High Roller.

The Main Event continues along, with Timothy Su entering Day 6 with a sizeable chip lead before Sam Greenwood, Duey Duong, Warwick Mirzikinian, and Luke Graham.

Mike Dentale leads the final 48 players in the Little One for One Drop while Andras Nemeth is after his first bracelet with the chip lead with six left in the $3,000 No Limit Hold'��m.

Meanwhile, the $3,000 Limit Hold'em will be broadcasted around the world at PokerGO with Tu Dao leading the final six at the final table.

Event #73: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em MAIN EVENT - World Championship

The field has been trimmed down to 106 players from the original field of 8,569 to start today's Day 6 at noon PDT. Each remaining player is guaranteed at least a $59,295 payout with hopes of grabbing the championship bracelet and the $10 million top prize.

Day 2ab chip leader Timothy Su bagged a huge lead on Day 5 with a stack of 19,235,000 in chips. Also in the top five on the leaderboard to start today is 888poker qualifier and well-known high roller (and bracelet winner) Sam Greenwood (11,950,000), Duey Duong (11,765,000), Warwick Mirzikinian (11,430,000), and Luke Graham (11,280,000).

Event #75: $1,000+111 Little One for One Drop No-Limit Hold'em

Today is scheduled to be the final day of this event starting at noon PDT with blinds at 80,000/160,000 and a big blind ante 160,000 and increasing every hour. However, another day could be added to this event by the tournament director with 48 players remaining out of the record-field of 6,246 entrants.

Each of the 48 survivors is guaranteed a $12,735 payout with their eyes on the $690,686 top prize. Regardless of who wins, it will be the first bracelet for that player with none of the survivors ever finding WSOP gold in the past.

Mike Dentale is looking to add to his nearly $2 million in lifetime tournament earnings in a big way as he enters today's action with a chip leading stack of 13,400,000 in chips.

Also bagging eight-figure stacks yesterday were Pierre-Paul Paulin (11,285,000), Zachary Donovan (11,130,000), and Jacques Mauron (10,495,000).

Event #75: $1,000+111 Little One for One Drop No-Limit Hold'em Day 3 Leaderboard

Event #77: $3,000 Limit Hold'em 6-Handed

After taking a day off, this limit hold'em event resumes play with just six players remaining out of the original field of 193 entrants. The action will resume at noon PDT with blinds at 8,000/15,000 and limits at 15,000/30,000 and will be broadcasted on a short delay with hole cards exposed at PokerGO around the world starting at 1 p.m. PDT.

Regardless of the outcome, the winner will walk away with their first WSOP bracelet. Tu Dao is in the best position with a stack of 954,000 in chips. Also in the hunt for the coveted bracelet are Alain Alinat (805,000), Oleg Chebotarev (672,000), Jan Suchanek (599,000), Chad Eveslage (431,000), and Ian O'Hara (410,000).

After the Day 2 elimination of Alex Torry in seventh place for $14,545, the remaining six players are each guaranteed a $19,687 payout with the winner going home with a six-figure prize of $133,189 and the bracelet.

Event #78: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Bounty

This tournament awards a $500 bounty for each player eliminated on top of the $960,500 prize pool generated from the 1,130 entrants. Today is scheduled to be the final day starting at noon PDT, but it is possible that a bracelet won't be awarded until tomorrow with still 42 players remaining in hopes of snagging the $177,823 top prize.

Kazuhiko Yotsushika drives pole position entering Day 3 with 2,148,000 followed by Joao Simao (1,855,000), Joseph Liberta (1,371,000), Michael Amato (1,181,000), and Jesse Silvia (1,119,000).

Several bracelet winners are still in contention including six-time winners Jeff Lisandro (488,000) and Daniel Negreanu (120,000). "Kid Poker" has his work cut out for him for bracelet number seven as he comes in with the shortest stack in play.

Other bracelet winners with hopes of adding another include Bryce Yockey (1,003,000), Jim Collopy (673,000), Jack Duong (380,000), and Kevin Eyster (189,000).

Event #79: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em

In what was initially scheduled to be a four-day event, could be played down to a winner in three days with just fourteen players remaining to start today's action at 2 p.m. PDT out of an original field of 671 entrants. Today is scheduled to play down to six players, but it wouldn't be surprising if the tournament director lets the action continue until a winner is crowned depending on the pace of play.

The returning players are all guaranteed a $15,618 payout with the winner going home with the bracelet and the $380,090 top prize.

Hungarian poker pro Andras Nemeth enters today's action in good shape for his hunt for his first bracelet with a chip leading stack of 2,895,000. Nemeth has an impressive poker resume of nearly $2.8 million in live tournament earnings to go along with his nearly $12.9 million in online cashes where he primarily plays under the "probirs" screen name.

On Nemeth's tail are David Gonzalez (2,185,000), Jonas Mackoff (2,125,000), David Dibernardi (1,050,000), and Dennis Brand (960,000). Michael Tureniec, who resides in seventh place with 710,000 in chips, is the only player remaining in the field that has previously won a bracelet.

Event #80: $1,500 Mixed No-Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha

This event, which features the game switching every eight hands between no-limit hold'em and pot-limit Omaha, has thus far been a huge success with 1,250 entrants creating a $1,687,500 prize pool and a $304,793 top prize. This smashes the 707 entrants last year when Jordan Polk won the bracelet and the $197,461 first-place prize.

Corey Wright leads the 340 survivors to enter today's Day 2 with 332,500 in chips. He is followed by Ramali Kusnadi (298,200), two-time bracelet winner Chance Kornuth (284,500), Pierce McKellar (274,100), and Shalom Turgeman (272,400). Kornuth managed to bag a big stack despite late-entering after bowing out in the Main Event earlier in the day in 184th place for $50,855.

Also with big stacks are four-time bracelets winners Robert Mizrachi (265,400) and Shaun Deeb (257,400). Deeb was the chip leader to enter yesterday's Day 3 of the Little One for the One Drop but was unable to survive the day after being eliminated in 118th place for $4,521.

Cards are back in the air at noon PDT with blinds at 800/1,600 and a big blind ante of 1,600 and increasing every hour. Players are scheduled to bag chips after ten blind levels before playing down to a winner tomorrow.

Event #81: $1,500 50th Annual Bracelet Winners Only No-Limit Hold'em

This new four-day event has thus far attracted 143 entrants with more to come with late registration open until the start of today's Day 2 at 2 p.m. PDT. Those that decide to reenter will join the 51 survivors with 50,000 in chips and blinds increasing every hour starting at 1,200/2,400 and a big blind ante of 2,400.

This tournament perhaps features the toughest field for a $1,500 buy-in event with entry limited to players that have won WSOP gold bracelets.

India's Nikita Luther bagged the chip lead with 538,500 in chips. Luther earned her qualification by winning a bracelet in last year's $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Tag Team Event when she partnered with Giuseppe Pantaleo to share a $175,804 top prize. Pantaleo entered the event as well; he returns as the shortest stack still left with 22,000 in chips.

Luther's nearest competitors entering today's action are Michael Gagliano (354,000), Yuval Bronshtein (277,000), Haixia Zhang (264,500), Blair Hinkle (259,000), Shankar Pillai (242,000), and 2017 WSOP Player of the Year and six-time bracelet winner Chris Ferguson (224,500).

Event #82: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Double Stack

This event will provide plenty of action with players starting today at 11 a.m. PDT with 50,000 in chips and play 20 levels of 30 minutes each on the opening day. While this is scheduled for a two-day event, if the turnout is as big as it has been for similar events, it is likely the tournament director will add a third day as has happened several times before this summer.

Players have plenty of chances to build a big stack with unlimited reentries permitted until the start of Level 13 at around 6:55 p.m. PDT.

Surviving players will have more time with blind levels increased to 40 minutes starting with tomorrow's Day 2 at noon PDT.

Event #83: $100,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller

This new three-day event features the biggest buy-in of the series with a $100,000 price tag. The tournament will likely attract many of the players that recently participated in the $50,000 Final Fifty, which was won yesterday by Danny Tang for $1,608,406, representing thus far the most significant single prize awarded this festival.

The action begins today at 3 p.m. PDT with players starting with a monster stack of 600,000 in chips. Blinds start at 1,000/1,000 with a big blind ante of 1,000 and increase every 40 minutes throughout the tournament. The final field size won't be determined until tomorrow with players allowed one reentry throughout the ten blind levels today and until late registration closes at the start of tomorrow's Day 2 at 1 p.m. PDT.

Despite the 40-minute blind levels being shorter than many events on the schedule, players should see plenty of hands each level with the event featuring a shot clock.
